The Eswatini Chapter of the Institute of People Management (IPM), in collaboration with Stratcom Media, is thrilled to announce an exclusive two-day human capital engagement, including a masterclass on “Human Capital Management in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI).” This transformative event will be held on 1-2 August 2024, from 08:30 to 16:00 at Mountain View in Mbabane, featuring renowned African futurist, medical doctor, business leader, and executive coach, Dr. Roze Phillips.
Dr. Phillips, the Founder and CEO of Abundance At Work, brings over 25 years of corporate experience and a wealth of knowledge on how AI is revolutionizing human capital management. As a pioneer in integrating AI with human capital strategies, Dr. Phillips will provide attendees with invaluable insights and practical tools to enhance human potential, streamline operations, and foster leadership empathy in the digital age. The masterclass will be held on Friday, 2 August 2024.
The first day, 1 August 2024, will be an interactive session on Talent Management, Coaching, and Mentoring led by Ms. Zani Mashinini. About Dr. Roze Phillips
Dr. Roze Phillips started Abundance At Work to ‘free the potential of each person’ at the intersection of human ingenuity and intelligent machines. She is an African futurist, medical doctor, business leader, lecturer, executive coach, and public speaker with over 25 years of corporate experience. Roze lectures at the University of Pretoria’s GIBS Business School‘s Centre for Business Ethics and serves as a non-executive director of companies. She also serves on the judging panel for the annual South African Top CHRO Awards. Roze features on Cape Talk radio in South Africa as a regular guest making topics about The Future of Work accessible to the public. Previously, Roze worked as Head of People and Culture for the pan-African banking group Absa and as Management Consulting and Digital Innovation Lead for Accenture Africa. In 2021, Roze co-authored a book called “The Book that Every Leader Needs to Read,” focusing her contribution on Leadership Empathy.
About Zani Mashinini
Zani Mashinini is an experienced human resources professional with over 20 years in the field, having worked in various industries and countries within and outside Africa. Her expertise spans multiple HR roles, including talent management, learning and development, HR analytics, and talent acquisition. She currently leads a team of HR specialists at the South African Reserve Bank. Prior to this, she held positions at organizations such as Unilever, Pearson, Bank of New York, and the South African National Treasury.
Zani is also a speaker, coach, and mentor, known for creating organizational transformation programs that enhance workplace experiences. She holds an Honours degree in Industrial Psychology from Rhodes University and a postgraduate qualification in Global Human Resources from the University of Liverpool. Currently, she is pursuing a master’s in management and business Executive Coaching at The Wits Business School in South Africa, with a research focus on women in leadership.
