Stratcom Media is proud to have been appointed as the strategic communications partner for the Siteki Town Council (STC) as it embarks on a bold and inclusive rebranding journey aimed at repositioning Siteki as a progressive, investment-ready, and vibrant destination.
The Rebranding and Destination Marketing Strategy was officially launched on Thursday, 12 June 2025, during a media briefing held at the Council Boardroom. The event was led by His Lordship Mayor Bongsipho Dlamini and Chief Executive Officer Ms. Sithembile Simelane, and attended by councillors, members of the media, youth representatives, and local business leaders.
“This is not just a branding exercise,” said CEO Simelane. “It’s about shaping a new identity, narrative, and future for Siteki — with its people at the center.”
A Vision Rooted in Development and Identity
The rebranding initiative builds on the newly adopted Integrated Development Plan (IDP) 2024–2029, which outlines Siteki’s vision for sustainable growth. The plan focuses on critical areas including infrastructure, local economic development, public safety, resource mobilisation, and institutional capacity building.
Despite its rich history and location atop the scenic Lubombo Plateau, Siteki has long lacked a unified brand identity and visibility. The new strategy aims to transform that by investing in a cohesive visual identity and strategic positioning that reflects both the town’s legacy and its ambitions.
Stratcom’s Role in Shaping the Brand
As the lead communications partner, Stratcom (Pty) Ltd will support the Council in executing the rebranding roadmap across five key pillars:
- Brand Identity Development – Including a new logo, colour palette, messaging, and visual system
- Tourism Positioning – Showcasing Siteki as an eco-tourism stopover and cultural destination
- Real Estate Promotion – Attracting investment in residential and commercial development
- Business Growth Enablement – Promoting opportunities for SMEs, traders, and investors
- Stakeholder Engagement – Facilitating inclusive dialogue with residents, youth, and the private sector
Our team will drive the visual and narrative transformation of Siteki through professional design, public communication campaigns, content creation, and stakeholder outreach.
“We are honoured to walk this journey with Siteki Town Council,” said Sibusiso Mngadi, CEO of Stratcom Media. “This initiative aligns with our mission to deliver strategic, people-centred communications that inspire confidence, promote civic pride, and unlock opportunity.”
Looking Ahead
With branding increasingly recognised as a tool for local development, the Siteki initiative represents a forward-thinking shift in how municipalities communicate with citizens, investors, and visitors alike.
“When people walk through Siteki, they should feel a sense of identity, safety, and possibility,” said CEO Simelane. “When they hear Siteki, they should say: this is where opportunity lives.”
Stratcom Media remains committed to delivering communications that bridge vision and execution — helping institutions like STC transform not just how they look, but how they lead.
